Fiat Panda in Abergele Conwy
The new Fiat Panda embraces electrification with mild hybrid technology to increase efficiency. It’s powered by a 1.0 GSE 70CV engine that uses a small battery for quiet, vibration-free and instantaneous engine restarts. Alternatively, you can choose the Panda 4x4, which has a 0.9 TwinAir engine. This model has 4x4 for improved grip and traction on any surface with Auto, Off-Road and Hill Descent Control modes.
Trim levels include City Cross, Cross 4x4, Sport and Life. Cross models have rugged styling, roof bars, “woody” interior trim, side mouldings and optional 4x4. Sport models have sporty styling, red brake callipers and 16” alloys. New LED daytime running lights, black door mirrors and striking paint schemes give the Panda a real sense of occasion. The mild hybrid returns over 50mpg combined for super-low running costs.
There’s nothing else like the Panda. This funky little off-roader is available with 4x4 for assured traction, and it backs up this capability with roof bars and rugged styling. Cross 4x4 models have roof rails, side mouldings and skid plates.
You can have a 4x2 hybrid or a turbocharged 4x4. The 4x2 hybrids can return over 50mpg combined depending on specification. All engines have start and stop technology. The 4x4 model has Auto, Off-road and Hill Descent Control drive modes.
The square shape of the Panda gives it abundant passenger space. The rear seat bench slides backwards and forwards, allowing you to expand the 225-litre boot to 260-litres when you need it. There are ISOFIX points on both rear outer seats.
Living with it
The Panda is easy to drive and comes with useful features like air conditioning, Bluetooth and 60-40 split-folding rear seats. You can have your Panda with rugged or city styling and all models have a smartphone cradle and a multi-function steering wheel.
